Nigeria Decides: Residents defy heavy downpour to vote in Delta as INEC runs out of ink

Eligible voters today defied the heavy downpour to vote their choice of candidates in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The voters said they were tired of bad leadership, stressing that they needed a change in government.

Our Correspondent who monitored the election captured the voters with umbrellas standing under the heavy rains.

At the time of filing this report, it was learnt that INEC ink for thumb printing has finished and the voters were shouting that,”it was a ploy to disenfranchise them.”

The voters who are still standing under the rain said the INEC Officials must provide the ink for them to cast their votes as they chanted, “We no go gree. We waan vote.”

Meanwhile, security operatives of Operation Delta Hawk arrived at the scene and chased away some residents loitering at polling unit 5&6, Ward 1 in Alegbo Primary School, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
