NAF airstrikes foil terrorists’ attack in Borno

In a decisive military operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully conducted airstrikes on Boko Haram strongholds in the southern Tumbuns of Borno State, foiling planned terrorist attacks ahead of Eid celebrations.

The operation, carried out under Operation Hadin Kai, targeted key insurgent enclaves at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia, based on credible intelligence reports.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at the NAF Headquarters, confirmed in a statement that the strikes were aimed at logistics hubs and coordination centers used by the terrorists.

“NAF aircraft delivered precise hits on structures used by Boko Haram for storage and planning,” Ejodame stated. “The operation neutralized several terrorists and significantly disrupted their ability to launch coordinated attacks during the festive period.”

He further noted that the pre-emptive airstrikes underscore the Nigerian Air Force’s continued commitment to protecting civilian lives and maintaining national security.
