The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, BoT, and Governor Nyesom Wike meeting ended in a deadlock.
Hopes were high earlier today as the leadership of the party began a truce meeting to seek an end to the crisis rocking the party.
However, the peace meeting between the BoT Trustees and governor Wike did not sail smoothly.
the party has been embroiled in a political crisis shortly after its presidential primaries.
At the centre of the crisis that have engulfed the party are Governor Wike and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The closed-door meeting in Government House, Port Harcourt, lasted for almost four hours and ended at about 4:35 pm with the attendees smiling and exchanging banters before newsmen while coming out.
Acting Chairman of the PDP BoT, Senator Adolphus Wabara, who briefed press men disclosed that they had a frank deliberation but that no meaningful conclusion has been reached.
He said, “We have not concluded. You know it is always easy to discuss. But to make peace takes some time.
“We are better informed. We have gotten some new information. Every coin has two sides. In concrete terms, it is work in progress.”
