The management of Edo Queens FC on Thursday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, unveiled the new coach of women’s team, Moses Aduku.
At the unveiling ceremony, the state’s Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, said the state government was elated to have high-profile football manager in the state take Edo Queens to new heights.
He said, “We are very happy to have you. We are also confident that you have the wherewithal to take Edo Queens to Eldorado. As you know, Edo State is highly committed to sports development, especially in the areas of youth development.
“We have been following your exploits and aware of your achievements as a football coach. So, I personally ordered the sports commission to do everything to get a good and result-oriented coach for Edo Queens FC. Now that you are here, I have no doubt that you and your team will deliver.
“We have a target, we want to win the NWFL title, we also have our eyes on the Aiteo Cup and want to play in the CAF Women’s Champions League and win. Here in Edo Queens, if you do well you take the credit. If you fail you and your technical crew will also take the blame. Feel free to come to us when you need us. We have seasoned administrators in the sports commission who are always there to provide the tools that will make you excel in this new task. So, we wish you the best of luck.”
