Zamfara students in Cyprus cry out for help

Zamfara students in Cyprus cry out for help, accuse the state government of abandoning them as the school authorities kick them out of the hostels due to unpaid dues and fees (video)

Students from Zamfara state currently on scholarship at the Cyprus International University have accused the state government of abandoning them in the foreign land.

A video that is currently making the rounds on social media shows some of the students sleeping in an open space at night. One of the students who recorded the video said they were kicked out of their dormitories by the school authorities.

”We have been in so much debt to the extent that the school says they can no longer take it. They have sent us out of the dormitory. For seven days now, we have been living out of our dormitories.

Some of us have been living in the mosque while some of us are nowhere to be found.”

The student claimed they were recently kicked out of the mosque they were residing in after the mosque was also shut down.

The state government is yet to react to this development.
