Zamfara PDP swears in new chairman, deputy

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has sworn in a chairman, Dr. Mohammed Sani and his Deputy to oversee the affairs of the party for the next three years.

The former State chairman of the party, Bala Mande resigned because he grabbed the ticket to contest for Zamfara north senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections.

Fielding questions from newsmen at the party’s Secretariat in Gusau, the new chairman said it was unanimously agreed that he takes over the position since it is the turn of Zamfara North to lead the party.

He said the former chairman, Col. Bala Mande resigned voluntarily to create time to pursue his senatorial ambition.

He assured that he would cement every crack in the party, saying that all aggrieved members would be pacified to come back and contribute to the success of the party in 2023.

“We are coming together gradually and will be one united family where justice and peace will reign,” he said.

“I have never seen where is no peace without Justice because justice is the basic unit of peace”

Recall that the former State Deputy Chairman of the party, Professor Kabiru Jabaka also resigned because he was given an automatic ticket to contest for Zamfara central senatorial seat on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
