Eid-El-Kabir: Adeyeye urges Muslims to pray for peace in Nigeria

The National Chairman, South West Agenda For Asiwaju Tinubu (SWAGA) Senator Adedayo Adeyeye has urged the Muslim faithful in the country to use this year’s Eid-de Kabir to seek the face of God in returning Nigeria to a land of Peace and Dignity.

Adeyeye in a message to Muslims noted that the country needs prayers considering the various challenges bedevilling it.

He said, ”it is yet another historic celebration of Eid-el-Kabir for our faithful Muslim brothers and sisters across the globe. Importantly, let us not as faithful forget the importance of this celebration as it will serve as a guide towards our daily pursuit in service to humanity. Nigeria today is a country that has lived beyond its religious sentiments to embrace unity, peace and love. On the basis of our common identity as a nation, I felicitate the Muslims and by extension other religious bodies who have ensured sustainable peace within their respective region.

”For our unity of purpose as a nation and an example to other African countries, we have at all times come out stronger than theories and expectations. This is achieved with the strength and grace of Almighty Allah SWT. As demonstrated by Allah’s holy prophet, this reminds us that we must as a people strive for the peace and collective good of one another and by so doing, Allah bestowed his unending blessings on our nation and her good citizens.

”The path and way of life through the celebration of Eid is teaching we must imbibe and pass from generation to generation which must be done in adherence to the obedience of his teachings and guidance.

”As a nation, the time for true rededication and reorientation is now for the greater good of our society and the nation at large in accordance with the teachings and preachings of Allah. This can only be achievable if in unison of purpose we commit
ourselves to our core values and identity as a zone and region in the true spirit of the Islamic teaching of the words of Allah. This we must show with good faith in our daily livings and in communication with our brothers, sisters, relatives and friends and not just on the altar of mere utterances and merriments.

Once again, a happy celebration to our Muslim brothers and sisters and by extension, to all Nigerians home and in the diaspora.

He called for support for the candidature of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who he said would change the Negative narrative of the nation’s fortunes.
