2023: Igbos have no place in Nigerian dominant parties, APC, PDP – APGA guber candidate, Odoh

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Ebonyi State Prof. Benard Odoh on Sunday lamented the failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to allow Igbos emerge as their presidential candidates.

Prof. Odoh made this known while addressing church members during the Fathers’ day celebration at All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

The APGA gubernatorial candidate, Odoh who bagged the Anglican outstanding leadership award, said Igbos have no place in the two dominant parties in today’s Nigeria.

“We know that Igbos have no place in the two dominant parties in today’s Nigeria again because we have nobody running for President or Vice President in any of the two Parties” he stated.

He stressed further that the time has come for the people of the southeast region to work hard so that Igbos can be recognized in national politics.

“So, it’s time for our people to think about how to secure their various States in the South East first before we begin to gain relevance again in national politics. That’s why we have to work hard to liberate ourselves and make a profound statement on our identity as a people” he stressed.

Earlier in a remark, the Bishop of Anglican Church, Abakaliki Diocese, Rt. Rev. Nkwoagu charged fathers to always stand in the gap for their families as the pillars of their homes.
