Italian giants, Inter Milan are considering a deal to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea less than a year after his £97.5m switch.
The 29-year-old Belgian striker moved to London for £97.5million last summer but struggled to hit his top form at Stamford Bridge.
Inter wants to bring him back to the San Siro, though will face some challenges because of the enormous transfer fee and wages of more than £325,000 a week.
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games for Inter in two seasons, playing a major part in their 2020-21 Serie A title success under Antonio Conte, but has been unable to replicate that form at Chelsea. He started 16 Premier League games and ended the campaign with 15 goals from 44 appearances.
The Belgian striker recently revealed in an interview with Sky Italia earlier this year that he had not wanted to leave and would like to return.
According to UK Guardian, Inter held talks with Romelu Lukaku’s lawyer on Tuesday May 31, to explore a possible return to the club for the striker.
