The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has announced Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda Goshwe as the winner of its governorship primary election in the State.
Nentawe, a former Independent National Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue State, polled a total of 803 votes to beat three other aspirants.
Nine aspirants were in the race before voting commenced; however, 5 aspirants withdrew from the contest.
Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Habu Ajiya, said those who withdrew from the contest included Sunday Garba Biggs, Dr. Sarpiya Danyaro, Sen. Hezekiah Dimka and Arch. Steve Fitka.
Also, Deputy Governor of the State, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Dr. Patrick Dakum and David Victor Dimka walked out just before voting commenced.
