President Muhammadu Buhari’s immediate past Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has revealed the All Progressives Congress, APC, and presidential aspirants he would support ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.
Bashir disclosed that he would support Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Bola Tinubu, APC National Leader; Rotimi Amaechi, and past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to clinch APC presidential ticket.
In a tweet, the former presidential aide said he would support either of those named above or any other aspirant who clinched APC’s Presidential ticket.
“I will support Prof. Osinbajo, Asiwaju Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi or whoever gets the ticket,” he tweeted.
The ruling party would hold its presidential primary election from May 30th to June 1st.
Ahead of the primary elections, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Amaechi, Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio; Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba have joined the presidential race.
Others are Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; Sen. Rochas Okorocha and former Ogun State governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosu.
Pastor Tunde Bakare, Cross River State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, his Ebonyi State counterpart, Gov. Dave Umahi, Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Jigawa governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; and former Zamfara State governor, Sen. Ahmed Yerima are also in the race.
