Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Osimhen, has said that the likes of Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, and Kenneth Omeruo will help the team with their experience to secure the 2022 FIFA World Cup ticket.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria had played a goalless draw with Ghana in Kumasi on Friday night.
Nigeria will host the Black Stars in the reverse fixture in Abuja, on Tuesday evening.
Speaking ahead of the fixture at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, the Napoli striker said that Super Eagles would give their best to ensure that they have the upper hand ahead of Ghana.
“Ghana is a great team and we will never underrate the team just as we’ve been doing, we saw the upset the Central African Republic gave to us,” Osimhen was quoted by CAFOnline as saying.
“For me, I would do my best, but it is not just about me, we’ve some inspirational players in the team like Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, Kenneth Omeruo and other great players. With the help of their experience, we’ll be able to actualize this dream.
“We know the importance of the game to us, our families, careers and the entire nation. This game is more than just football and we’ll give our best and also try to make sure we’ve the upper hand,” he added.
