LAGOS State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured intending pilgrims of an improved and seamless spiritual exercise.
The governor spoke at the Shamsi Adisa Thomas Mosque, Ikeja, during a meeting between Lagos Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and intending pilgrims.
Represented by Commissioner for Home Affairs Prince Anofiu Elegushi, Sanwo-Olu hailed the pilgrims for their understanding, steadfastness and trust.
The government, he said, would ensure pilgrims had a fulfilling experience; a reputable airline, accommodation in standard hotels closer to the Haram in Makkah and Madina; sumptuous meals, camping in ‘Tent B’ during their stay in Muna for a first-class treatment.
Elegushi lauded the Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Zikhrullah Hassan for his efforts at injecting new ideas and innovations in Hajj.
