The presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu has been described as God’s intervention to take Nigeria out of economic doom.
Executive Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Valentine Buraimoh said God sent Tinubu to bail Nigeria out of the woods.
Buraimoh spoke when the National Council of Women’s Societies (NCWS) presented equipment to the council’s health facility.
The council chair noted that the event started late because of power outage, and he reminded the gathering that Tinubu planned an independent power for Lagos while he was governor from 1999 to 2007.
“This is why Nigerians should support his presidential aspiration. The fuel crisis is uncalled for; we own crude oil from which we extract gas, petroleum, jet fuel among others. Tinubu is the man capable of providing solutions to the problems besetting the country…”
Buraimoh urged women to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) ready, even as he thanked the group for contributing to his administration’s health drive.
President of NCWS (Amuwo Odofin) Alhaja Taiwo Runmonkun said the programme was their contribution to improved healthcare.
“Last two years, we moved round the community with our chairperson and patroness as advocates of ‘No to Child Abuse and Violence against Women’, during which many were liberated and some saved from rape. A lot still need to be done to ensure quality life in our society, identifying and empowering women with talents and complementing government’s efforts in assisting local government to address the issues,” she noted.
State President of NCWS Alhaja S.B. Agoro, said: “We must all work hard to ensure Tinubu becomes the next president of Nigeria.”
