A new family game show, Family Fame, is set to start airing. Produced by a media company, Auxilia Media, the show seeks to revive and ingrain family values, as well as create a bond between family members to curb societal ills in Nigeria and Africa.
At an event to unveiling the show on Sunday, the Chief Executive Officer of Auxilia Media, Olufunke Fajusigbe, said the show is part of the firm’s commitment to ensuring that Nigerians enjoy the best content in family unity.
She also stated that the show, which will be aired weekly, was designed to promote family unity.
She said, “What makes a Nigerian family unique is the values they hold dear. Everything is pulling families away and we feel that we need to do something to ensure the family, as a unit, is brought back together. Anything that will bring families together is a good initiative.”
She also stated that due to the values, entertainment and originality components of the programme, it is different from existing reality shows. She added, “There is a part of it where people show their talents. That is why it is very unique. “
The show, scheduled to run for 52 weeks (a year), will feature two families weekly, as they go head-to-head in offering the most popular responses to a series of survey questions answered by members of the public.
Fajusigbe also stated that the show, which will be anchored by Seyi Law, will offer cash prices ranging from N400,000 to N2m.
